It has been a while since I was able to sit down and enjoy the symphony. Steven purchased us tickets a couple months ago for the 2009 season. We were treated to a Lizst Concerto by an amazing 21 year old woman, as well as Hungarian Dances by Brahms and an odd Suite by Bartok. The Myerson is a beautiful place. I still have to laugh every time I'm there. Kathy Griffen played here a few years ago and she said that the building was probably in shock after hearing the word Fuck for the first time.

Man oh man, you boys are lucky dogs....getting to go. Do you know, I've lived here 11 years and never yet seen the Oregon Symphony. My loss. Clearly.

Ms. Griffin has obviously never been backstage when classical musicians are performing. My dear, the language!
The magnificent French soprano Regine Crespin used to pace wildly repeating over and over, "Mon Dieu! Shit! Shit" and then go out and sing like an angel. Of course, she was French so it came out, "Sheet! Sheet!"
